Please Note:

  • Proposals are reviewed within 3-4 weeks of submission. To meet one of the registration deadlines listed above, please make sure your proposal is submitted in time to receive a response prior to the deadline.
  • Registrations must be completed and fully paid before presentations are scheduled. 
  • Payment must be received by the indicated date in order to receive the stated benefits and guarantees associated with the specific Registration Phase.
  • If registration payment is received after the final registration deadline, scheduling the presentation is subject to availability of space, and the presentation may not appear in the printed conference program (although if scheduled, it will appear in the final online program and in the "session changes" posted at the conference).

Conference registration includes one year membership of the New Directions in the Humanities knowledge community. If you would prefer to participate in the community by attending the conference, visit the Conference Registration page.

Membership Benefits

  • Personal electronic subscription to the complete journal collection for one year after the conference (all past and future issues).
  • Personal electronic subscription to the book series for one year after the conference.
  • One article submission per year for peer review and possible publication in any of the journals in the collection.
  • Participation as a reviewer in the peer review process and the potential to be listed as an Associate Editor of the journal after reviewing three or more articles.
  • Subscription to the monthly Community email newsletter, containing news and information for and from the knowledge community.
  • Ability to add a video presentation to the Community YouTube channel, whether or not it was presented in person at the Conference or is published in the Journal.
  • Access to the Scholar "social knowledge" platform: free use of Scholar as your personal profile and publication portfolio page, as a place to interact with peers and forms communities that avoids the clutter and commercialism of other social media, with optional feeds to Facebook and Twitter.
  • Use Scholar in your classes—for class interactions in its Community space, multimodal student writing in its Creator space, and managing student peer review, assessment, and sharing of published students’ works in its Publisher space. Contact us to request Publisher permissions for Scholar

Membership Rates

Regular Membership $US 200.00
Student Membership $US 100.00

All community memberships are subject to Common Ground's terms and conditions. Membership payments are non-refundable.


 

Included with all Registrations:

  • Attendance at all conference sessions and presentations, including plenary addresses and parallel sessions (thematic sessions; workshops; poster and roundtable sessions; colloquia).
  • Lunch and coffee breaks on the days of the conference. Attendance at Welcome Reception and Book Launches (when included in conference events).
  • Presentation of scholarly or practice-grounded work (based on accepted proposal) in a parallel session (excluding Non-Presenter).
  • Citation and Summary of work in printed conference program, and complete abstract included in the online Post-Conference Program (excluding Non-Presenter).
  • Membership in the New Directions in the Humanities knowledge community.

Full Conference Attendance

  • Registration for the complete conference, including scheduling in a presentation session.

One-Day Attendance

  • Registration for a single day of the conference, including scheduling in a presentation session.

Non-Presenter: Full Conference

  • Registration for the complete conference that does not include scheduling a presentation session.

Student: Full Conference

  • Registration for the complete conference, including scheduling in a presentation session.
  • Discounted price available only to full-time students.

Returning Member: Full Conference

  • Registration for the complete conference, including scheduling in a presentation session.
  • Discounted price available only to individuals who have previously attended the Humanities Conference.

  • Registration for the complete conference, including scheduling in a presentation session.
  • Discounted price available to groups of five or more individuals from the same who institution register at the same time.
