Renata Relja

Renata Relja, PhD, is a Full Professor with tenure at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split. Her research interests span the sociology of work and professions, ethnography, sociology of education, and sociology of youth. She has held numerous academic leadership and governance roles, served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split (2006–2015), and contributed to the establishment of the Scientific Centre of Excellence for School Effectiveness and Management, where she served as Head of the Research Unit for Special Research Areas. She has published more than seventy scientific papers and three books, participated in over sixty international conferences, and collaborated on national and EU-funded projects. She has also served as an evaluator of EU-funded research and innovation projects, including those under the Horizon Europe program. For her work, she has received several awards, including the Annual Award for Excellence from the Diversity in Organizations, Communities & Nations Research Network (Common Ground, University of Illinois Research Park, USA) and the Award for Excellence in Scientific Research (Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split).
