Tanja Brešan Ančić is an associate professor at the Department of Croatian Language and Literature, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split. Her areas of interest are morphology and syntax of the standard language, standardology, and the history of the Croatian language. In her career so far, she has dealt with topics from the recent history of the Croatian language (19th century) and contemporary Split speech. She is the author of the monograph The Language in the Kingdom of Dalmatia and numerous articles that address the linguistic and sociolinguistic picture of the Kingdom of Dalmatia and Croatia.
