Toni Popović is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split. His research interests include rural sociology, cultural anthropology, sociology of education, labor, and tourism. He has published more than forty peer-reviewed publications and has participated in numerous national and international conferences. He has also contributed as a research expert to several EU-funded projects aimed at improving the Croatian education system. He is a member of the Presidency of the Croatian Sociological Association and head of its Split branch. For his work, he has received multiple awards, including the Award for Excellence in Teaching (2025) and the annual Award for Excellence from the Diversity in Organizations, Communities & Nations Research Network (Common Ground, USA, 2025).
