Nikša Varezić is an Associate Professor affiliated with the Department of History at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split. His research work focuses on topics related to the early modern history of Croatia and the Mediterranean, with particular emphasis on the history of early modern diplomacy. He actively participates in research projects, publishes papers in scientific journals, and regularly takes part in academic conferences. His research studies include the following book publications: “Suffice to say it in Rome to have the whole world know”: Dubrovnik Republic and the Holy See in the sixteenth and seventeenth century (2018), Europe – Diplomacy – Adriatic: Regional Powers and their Diplomatic Strategies, Agencies and Practices (2025).
